I heart ETSY!
So I have some fun exciting news.
If ya’ll dont know what Etsy is you better check it out, because its amazing. It is an online store where you can buy and sell ONLY handmade or vintage items. They have everything, and everything is amazing and legit. My cousin has bought beautiful things there for her wedding, and amazing art. You can find amazing vintage things that are in beautiful condition.
One of my very favorite things to do is thrift. I love finding amazing vintage items for next to nothing. I think I get this “gift” from my Dad, he is the king of buying presents from thrift stores, infact he still does it for my mom. We always laughed at him, but now I admire it, there is something so special in that. But right now i dont have my own home to put these treasures in so I cant really buy anything…which is just to sad.
I have really been needing something to do with my time. I am not really looking for a full time job right not because my health is kind of unstable. But I do need to pursue something and have a goal. And now I do. Ladies and gentlemen I am going to open an Etsy shop!!!! It is going to be all vintage items. I am so excited, because you can really make good money off of this, but more then that I am just excited to be able to do what I love….thrift, and now I will be able to share my treasures with others. So now I am going to every thrift store i can find, searching for treasures, and it is sooooo fun. I left a thrift store the other day with 3 bags full of items, I texted Casey and said “i love my new job” haha. And it is so true.
The other exciting part about it is with everything that sells I will donate a percentage to the CF foundation. My Etsy name is already sixtyfiveroses, so its perfect! I will have that info and a little blurb about my life on my etsy home page, so I think it might draw people in even more. My goal is to open my shop in a few weeks. I am still building my inventory. If anybody has anything they would like to donate I would be more then happy to except! I am looking for everything, clothes, shoes, accessories, and house wares. The items have to be at least 20 years old. I love things from the 50-70’s, but love clothes from all era’s. So all you parents go through your closets and garages (I found some amazing things from my moms closest that she had buried).
